Afterword
To you there, precious soul, who stayed with me to the very end—
thank you very much.
I wanted to write not only very short pieces like little sketches, but also a somewhat longer, self-contained story, and so I turned my antenna toward these angels—whose names alone had already been decided—and wrote this.
I wrote it with something of a rushed momentum, so I do want to come back and revise it later.
I thought I was writing something independent—and yet it turned into something that connects, in a way, to my short collection about inanimate things, which made me realize again: ah, this really is the sort of thing I love.
I want to write a story about strips of bacon forming a party in another world.
One day, I will. I don't know yet whether it will become a long work or another piece like this.
I also want to write the angels' past. But this, apparently, connects to another work entirely—or so such an idea came drifting down into my mind—and so, if I can, while I'm still alive (my writing pace is exceedingly slow), I hope to write that as well and show it to you one day.
Updates may be very, very leisurely—but if you would like, I would be happy if you kept watching over these stories from here on too.
